Omicron" began to cast shadows of fear again

"Omicron" began to cast shadows of fear again.

The "Air of Climate Breakdown" report for the year 2021 identifies the 15 most destructive climate events, with 10 of them incurring costs of $1.5 billion or more. Most estimates are based solely on insured losses, indicating that the actual financial costs may be even higher.

One of the events included in the report is Hurricane Ida,
which struck the United States in August, causing $65 billion in damages and resulting in the deaths of 95 people. In July, floods in Europe led to $43 billion in damages and claimed the lives of 240 people. Additionally, floods in China's Henan province caused $17.5 billion in damages, 320 fatalities, and left more than a million people homeless.

The report focuses on financial expenditures, which are generally higher in wealthier nations due to the higher value of their assets and their ability to afford insurance. Despite contributing minimally to climate change, poorer nations faced significant losses in 2021 due to extreme weather events, impacting food security, causing droughts, and exacerbating the effects of climate change.

South Sudan experienced a devastating flood,
displacing over 850,000 people, many of whom were already internally displaced. Eastern Africa is grappling with a severe drought, revealing the injustices of climate crises. Multiple disasters occurred in succession in 2021, such as Cyclone Yaas, which collided with India and Bangladesh in May, causing $3 billion in damages within a few days.

Among the ten most expensive events,
four occurred in Asia, with a total financial impact of $24 billion. However, the severe weather effects were felt globally. In Australia, floods in March left 18,000 people homeless and caused $2.1 billion in damages. In British Columbia, Canada, floods resulted in $7.5 billion in damages and forced 15,000 people to abandon their homes.

Recent sea hurricanes in America have incomplete data regarding insurance and financial losses. The worry is that climate-related expenditures will continue without relief. Aon, an insurance company, has warned that global natural disasters are expected to surpass the $100 billion insured loss limit in 2021, marking the sixth consecutive year, with 2021 being the fourth year in the last five.

The report sheds light on the slow but steady progress in addressing sustainable crises, such as droughts. Climate change, particularly the 2021 extreme events, has affected the lives and livelihoods of millions of people worldwide. The report emphasizes the urgent need for action on climate change and highlights the disparity in financial assistance to the weakest countries.

It is crucial to make additional efforts to provide financial aid to the weakest countries in 2022, especially those grappling with the constant losses due to climate change. Dr. Kate Kramer, Head of Climate Policy at Christian Aid, points out that the cost of climate change is severe not only in terms of financial losses but also in terms of deaths and displacements worldwide. Whether it's hurricanes and floods in some of the world's wealthiest countries or droughts and heatwaves in some of the poorest countries, the climate crisis continues to pose a severe threat to the world. While there was some progress in the COP26 summit, it is evident that the world is not on track to ensure a secure and prosperous future.

Omicron: A New Challenge for the World

"Omicron: A New Challenge for the World"

"In the world,
as the cases of coronavirus were beginning to decrease, a new variant named Omicron emerged. This variant was first identified in South Africa and Botswana and is characterized by the highest number of mutations, with over 50 changes reported so far. Approximately 32 of these mutations are found in the spike protein, and 10 of them are in regions that impact infection rates, disease severity, and immune escape, affecting the effectiveness of vaccines.

Due to these concerns,
The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated it as a 'Variant of Concern.' After the Delta variant, Omicron is considered the most diverse. Experts suggest that while there are many changes, it will take some more time to understand the significance of this new form of the virus. Nevertheless, it is clear that caution and preventive measures remain crucial in the face of this global pandemic.

The variant has been detected in several countries, including Israel, Hong Kong, the UK, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Australia, within the second week of November. Mutations are a natural characteristic of any virus, and changes in the genetic sequence can occur after an infection. Most changes are insignificant, but some may alter the virus's characteristics. If changes lead to increased infectivity, severe illness, altered disease symptoms, or impact the natural or vaccine-induced immunity, the variant is termed a 'Variant of Concern.'

Omicron shares some mutations previously found in Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Lambda variants. However, understanding the virus requires considering a significant number of individual changes. While the Beta variant showed resistance to immune responses and was identified in nearly 100 countries, it did not become a dominant version. It's noteworthy that Omicron spread rapidly in some provinces of South Africa just two weeks after its discovery.

Questions about the severity of illness,
vaccine efficacy against the variant, and whether it affects specific age groups or populations differently are currently unanswered and remain subjects of scientific research. Early reports from South African doctors suggest that individuals infected with Omicron do not exhibit new or unusual symptoms.

Even if the variant proves to be more transmissible,
countries with high vaccination coverage may experience lower risks. Additionally, if the immune escape capabilities are observed, vaccines are expected to retain some level of effectiveness. However, the full extent of the threat posed by this new form of the virus is yet to be determined.

In the current global situation, it is evident that precautions and preventive measures are essential. The invisible nature of this virus emphasizes the interconnectedness of our future and the potential impact of a changing virus shape anywhere in the world.

The essay reflects on the challenges posed by the Omicron variant and emphasizes the need for collective efforts, global cooperation, and a scientific understanding to navigate through the complexities of the ongoing pandemic."

More than two billion women are victims of systemic gender inequality

More than two billion women are victims of systemic gender inequality

According to the United Nations, due to the global pandemic of the coronavirus, women around the world, both migrants and domestic, are facing violence and other injustices due to the implementation of lockdowns. Recent reports from international organizations, justices, and their agencies indicate that since the outbreak of the coronavirus, one in three women has experienced violence, either personally or someone they know.

Covers data from 13 countries,

highlighting that the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has particularly forced women to face violence as a result of economic and social challenges. In addition to violence, they have also experienced a sense of insecurity, with the overall goal of women being adversely affected.

The perpetrator of violence was identified as their current or former spouse or partner. It is essential to note that the girls and women surveyed in this report were aged 15 or older.

The most dangerous situation was found in Afghanistan, where 34% of girls or women were beaten by their husbands. Of the top five countries where girls and women are most vulnerable to violence, the majority are from sub-Saharan Africa. In Congo, 32% of girls and women were subjected to violence by their spouses or friends.

The report states that every 10 women report an increase in domestic violence after the coronavirus pandemic. They have begun to perceive themselves as unsafe in their homes, leading to an increase in domestic violence. Even if there is a conflict between men in the house, women in the household are also drawn into it. Another report indicates that three out of five women said that after the deadly virus, they had to face sexual harassment more than before. Consequently, they became fearful while leaving their homes for work and other essential activities.

As a result, they began to think 100 times before leaving home, even for recreational purposes. This had negative effects on their health. Of the women who became victims of sexual violence or witnessed such incidents with other women, two women experienced adverse effects on their mental and emotional health for every five women. They sought medical help 1.3 times more than other women.

It is important to note that this survey was conducted during the period from April to September 2021. Annually, more than 20,000 women are killed in Asia, 19,000 in Africa, 8,000 in the Americas, 3,000 in Europe, and 300 women in islands connected to oceans (Oceania). In Africa, 3.1 women out of every 100,000 women are killed, 1.6 in the Americas,

People engaged in anti-violence efforts should be provided with additional resources. In the UK, legal assistance is not provided to thousands of women who fall victim to domestic violence by their spouses because they do not have British residency. Despite being regular residents in European Union countries, many of these women are prevented from entering shelters. As a result, they are forced to either live as homeless and destitute or return to the environment of oppression and violence.

Currently, more than two billion women and girls worldwide are facing systemic gender inequality. According to a United Nations report, a significant number of men perpetuate discrimination against women, and half of the countries that have signed agreements with the UN to achieve gender equality by 2030 are lagging behind on half of the projects.

The report clearly states that about thirty percent of men still consider it acceptable to physically abuse their wives. In many countries, women face severe discriminatory behavior, and apparently, societal and governmental actions at the cultural and policy levels are insufficient. It is unlikely that the present generation will witness an environment where men and women have equal status.

It is important to note
That in September 2015, world leaders of the United Nations identified challenges to sustainable development, including poverty, lack of justice, and gender inequality, as significant challenges. However, despite increasing demands from women worldwide for equality in the workplace and against sexual inequality, eliminating the disparities based on gender requires several more centuries.

Christmas, a Celebration of Peace

 Christmas, a Celebration of Peace

Christmas demands peace throughout the world because Christmas is a festival of peace, and Christians believe that Christmas and peace are inseparable, making it not only a Christian festival but also attaining the status of a global festival.

As the current year comes to a close
once again, we are on the verge of experiencing the joy of Christmas. During this time, we should make special efforts for peace worldwide. While we pray for a ceasefire between Palestine and Israel, we should also pray for peace in Kashmir, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, an end to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and beyond. Wherever attempts are being made to disrupt peace, we must pray for its cessation.

We should not only offer prayers for peace in individual and social contexts but also exert pressure on our governments and media to raise their voices for peace in those regions. Make repeated appeals to the United Nations and record your protests. Ensure that, alongside peace, we enter the Christmas season. Instead of demanding temporary ceasefires in these places during Christmas, put pressure on the leaders of those nations entangled in conflict to embrace peace as they declare the end of hostilities in the new year. Request superpowers to become advocates of peace worldwide, turning the entire world into a peaceful haven. It is essential to halt the wars fought to expand one's territories.

The Christmas
festival demands not only the promotion of peaceful visions but also the creation of a culture of peace in our countries through the teaching of peace values to future generations. We should abandon all activities that harm peace. It is crucial to acknowledge the fact that countries with no regular army or a smaller army are more peaceful than those with a significant military presence. If you observe the standard of education, the well-being of the people, and the lifestyle in these countries, you will be amazed. Countries engaged in regular conflicts have given nothing but sorrow, regret, and despair to their people.

Even today,

when the world reflects on the first and second world wars, it strives to ensure that there is never a third world war. The number of countries possessing nuclear weapons is enough to eliminate all living beings, including humans, from the face of the Earth. Now, as the world witnesses efforts for peace amid conflicts in these countries, it seems that the message of peace is spreading not only through Christianity but through all the religions of the world. Today's world is a technological world, and countries like Japan, China, the United States, Britain, and European countries have contributed significantly to global progress.
The world is inclined towards tourism, and Saudi Arabia, along with Gulf countries, has made remarkable changes to promote tourism. The freedom of women, the establishment of cinemas, and the organization of film festivals in cities like Jeddah have astonished the world, signaling a real transformation in Saudi Arabia.

I understand that the need for this peaceful change is felt by every individual, every region, and every country because when the world turns away from destructive endeavors and leans towards peace, it will discuss tourism, festivals, and not only for its own country but for the youth of the whole world. It will organize programs for peace. In my opinion, this is the message of Christmas because Christmas is considered a symbol of a peaceful day, filled only with joy. However, it is disheartening that as soon as the Christmas season ends, the world seems to return to its old ways, and the cycle of disturbing peace begins again.

The concept of Christmas
as a peaceful day encourages us, as peace-loving citizens, to prove that we will not only make this day but also the upcoming days peaceful. Build pleasant relationships with neighbors, help others without discrimination, respect each other, and make every possible effort to create a society that embraces peace. Doing so is necessary because, even today, the world is witnessing efforts to end peace. The era of violence is ongoing, with killings, looting, terrorism, greed, and lust wreaking havoc on families, communities, cities, and countries. Violations of human rights are increasing in numbers.

In such circumstances,
The Christmas festival gives hope to people around the world. Those working to promote peace have an opportunity to think from new perspectives. Let us come together and bring about a change in ourselves to truly participate in the real joy of Christmas. When you change, you will not only feel a transformation within yourself, but you will also become an advocate for peace. Only then can you enlighten others about the joy of Christmas in the true sense. I pray that the coming year is a peaceful year, where peace and prosperity reign in the real sense."

Books and Society

Books and Society

Vibrant society

bears many signs, and one of them is 'book-reading.' Book-reading not only enlightens society but also creates harmony among people. A good book brings human qualities to the forefront, enhancing one's manners and thoughts. It not only broadens one's thinking but also distinguishes their approach from an ordinary person.

The 18th International Book Fair concluded with great enthusiasm at Expo Center Karachi last week. In this era of social media, where books are available at a 'click,' the sheer number of people buying books is extraordinary.

The presence of a large audience at global book fairs suggests that the 'last century of love for books' is not yet 'out of fashion.'

Various publishers had set up their stalls in this book fair. However, contrasting with other stalls, stalls featuring religious books attracted more attention. Some stalls displayed books by scholars of specific ideologies, accompanied by images and statements of religious figures.

Certain stalls were observed where books critical of local religious figures were present. The content of these books was presented in a systematic manner.

While academic differences and freedom of expression are everyone's rights, labeling someone a disbeliever or denier simply because their views differ is incorrect.

In such instances, when people from different nationalities attend, presenting such books on a large platform may not be appropriate. Nevertheless, the positive aspect was that there was a significant interest in religious books.

Some stalls also focused on Islamic studies and other subjects. The books in these stalls indicated why our scholars are lagging behind globally and why their influence is limited. At the end of each book, phrases like "Make sure students memorize the mentioned lessons well, etc." were written. However, the question arises, where is the practical application of these lessons? Authors, who are likely educators themselves, need to ponder whether writing books is just an addition to their accounts or if they have fulfilled the right to write.

Some stalls showcased various software development experts benefiting people. However, the attendance was relatively low. Perhaps people were less interested in these technical aspects.

In another section, children under the supervision of teachers worked hard to create toys using various scientific tools. It is indeed commendable that in Pakistan, especially Karachi, students are being taught the use of modern smart tools. Alongside, some excellent books on teaching children were also available, but their prices seemed sky-high.

Certain stalls offered a collection of English books, attracting those who are proficient in the language. Now, after all these details, some thoughtful questions arise: Will the significant sales of books bring positive changes to society? In this prevailing atmosphere where people have become enemies, will books play a role in reconciling them? For prolific religious writers whose countless books have been sold, will people benefit practically from the literature contained within?

At present, books are the reality that can refine the morals of society, as what appears on social media often contradicts reality. While mosques used to play a significant role at one time, now they still exist, but the scenario has changed. Now, people only attend mosques on Fridays after the 'sermon.' Perhaps the reason is the monotony in the statements of preachers. However, various gatherings in mosques, where different lectures are given, still attract a large number of people. The issue with these gatherings is that while people are inspired by the incidents they hear, little attention is given to what to do in practical life. Nonetheless, sometimes, it is observed that the focus of preachers is entirely on practical life.

In this situation, instead of telling people not to read certain books,

not to listen to certain statements, etc., it should be emphasized to bring them out and have an open mind. Now that it is proven that the importance of reading books is undeniable (both religious and worldly), preachers should encourage people to read books without bias. They should teach how to read books, how to note important points, and show respect for authors. People should be taught the principles of tolerance and be encouraged to explore books from different perspectives. This will cultivate intellectual openness and moral development.

In conclusion,

 books are indeed the reality

in today's society that can help people distinguish between right and wrong, understand principles of differences, examples of good conduct, and principles of balanced statements. Instead of telling the masses 'the masses are like cattle,' they should be treated as having 'intellect and consciousness,' and ethical education should be provided.

"Grief, a Silent Teacher

 "Grief, a Silent Teacher

In this era of life,

the most impactful thing that affects a person is grief, which never disappears in any form. It is said that if something cannot kill a person, it strengthens them by leaving a lasting impact, and the same applies to grief. Many of us have faced or witnessed such qualities in life, such as the separation of a loved one, battling a life-threatening illness like cancer, experiencing loneliness in the face of divorce, unemployment, or other challenging situations. These experiences lead individuals to stress, bitterness, depression, and persistent unrest.

A fundamental law of nature is that it does not burden anyone beyond their capacity. The same principle applies to emotions like grief and challenges, which become a part of life for a specific period but, after completing their cycle, leave behind positive effects that were not part of a person's existence before. In ordinary circumstances, people often fail to recognize the strength within them, which God has endowed to endure and bear.

Where our bodies demand food, drink, and sleep, similarly, our soul and mind also seek a higher purpose, and sometimes, nature introduces grief to make us feel it. When life is moving smoothly in full swing, we often stop questioning our existence. On the contrary, in times of adversity or grief, we contemplate our mental state and begin to observe things more deeply. Although the experience of joy connects us limitlessly, grief reminds us of our limitations.

In recent years, psychologists have become aware of a phenomenon called "Post Traumatic Growth." This term was coined by psychologists Richard Tedeschi and Lawrence Calhoun, who interviewed many individuals who had gone through experiences such as loss, severe illness (like cancer), divorce, or near-death situations.

In the initial stages, everyone experienced the dark night of the soul, where every aspect of life seemed purposeless. Constantly thinking about a distressing event, repeatedly going over thoughts and feelings, is a natural process that everyone went through. Afterward, they embarked on a spiritual journey in search of self, asking themselves questions and exploring new ethical and spiritual qualities that were not part of their lives before. Some found meaning and purpose in life, others witnessed helplessness within themselves, and many began to view relationships with distant loved ones from a new perspective. Forgiveness became easier for them, and above all, they found more contentment, tranquility, and a new path, where they became grateful for small things.

Life brings trials
and tribulations that often repeat themselves. Great spiritual leaders and prophets also underwent trials. Sometimes, it becomes necessary for a person to go through the stages of testing and challenges for the strengthening of their character. However, it does not mean that we willingly invite challenges or start searching for them with an understanding of their significance. If, God forbid, these enter our lives, we should be aware that there is also hidden goodness along with the negative aspects.

Character Selfie

Character Selfie

The craze of selfies has spread like an epidemic worldwide nowadays,

affecting individuals in every home, street, neighborhood, and beyond. The obsession with selfies is so intense that affected individuals are constantly looking for opportunities to capture themselves, regardless of the location. Whether it's taking a selfie with someone about to die, in front of an oncoming train, climbing a dangerous tower like a monkey, or showcasing one's talent by the swiftly flowing river – the selfie craze keeps people captivated.

The selfie obsession has made enthusiasts so restless that they seize every moment and every place, be it at home or elsewhere. The trend of taking selfies has become ubiquitous, and even in busy environments, taking a selfie has become an essential need for everyone. Every mobile phone camera user has taken it upon themselves to capture their own image. The desire to see oneself and to show others, fueled by the passion for selfies, has become an art form.

Gone are the days when people had to endure the inconvenience of carrying a separate camera to capture their images. Now, taking selfies with one's own camera has become a fashion, with people expressing their emotions and passions through this medium. People willingly use selfies to express their connection with themselves and their surroundings. Whether in moments of joy or during times of sorrow, taking a selfie and then posting its status has become a sacred duty.

The selfie trend has become so prevalent that it's not just limited to climbing the heights of fame for celebrities. Those in love with selfies break down like reeds and then a never-ending cycle of taking selfies begins. As you may have seen in movies, often a person standing in front of a mirror reflects a different character within, and they begin to threaten themselves systematically. Have you ever thought about what would happen if your self-captured images, taken with your own hands, started speaking to people? Self-promotion through one's own images is not a noble act.

Sometimes, try to look within yourself. Try to see your character in your free time. Occasionally, make an effort to take a selfie of your inner self and try to examine your character by taking the human out of the selfie. A person's character, personality, behavior with others, and upbringing reflect the environment around them. It is unfortunate that many of us do not like to peek inside ourselves and those who do not like to do so are often full of flaws that they easily notice in others. Today, all our pursuits and efforts revolve around money, and our friendships and relationships are also based on some kind of benefit. We do not need the strength of our character. We are busy living our lives with pride even on our worst behavior.

It is said that man does not become great on his own; it is his character that makes him great. Man assesses the strength of his character by choosing between good and evil. After good upbringing from parents, the environment around you plays a crucial role in making your character good or bad. Man is recognized by his character, and his sincerity or lack of it in his purpose is reflected in his solid character. Every action of his character hints at it. Therefore, endurance is considered a great characteristic of human character.Your true personality is hidden not in external beauty but in your character. The more beautiful your character is, the more beautiful your personality becomes over time. Therefore, instead of taking a selfie by making your external personality attractive, strengthen and beautify your character and take a selfie with it. So that the true colors of life are visible on your face, and your selfie shines with brilliance.

Take a break for yourself

Take a break for yourself

Life is running at a fast pace. It seems like just yesterday we used to enjoy the winters and the sun in Lahore. The life of the diaspora, dreams of the future, and concerns about livelihood have passed in the blink of an eye over the last five years. Many of us will appear to complain about the insensitivity of the times, social trends, and the inability to endure. But where do we stand ourselves, have we ever thought about it?

It is true that inflation, unemployment, and an unstable economic and political situation have pushed us to a great extent. Just as the horse running in the race has blinders around its eyes so that it can focus solely on the race in front of it, similarly, the prices of pulses, electricity, gas bills, children's fees, and home rents have created blinders around our eyes so that we cannot see anything beyond them. This is why in the fast-paced life, and with the swift passage of time, we are also forced to run fast, and by the time the destination is near, our time will have run out.

Remember

We can buy a watch, but not time. A comfortable bed can be bought, but not sleep, and there may be good food, but not health! Stop... take it easy, rejuvenate a bit. Let your brain relax a bit. You are a human, not a machine or a robot. Take some time for yourself and your loved ones. Count your blessings. Try to fulfill the rights of sincere relationships around you. Evaluate your circumstances and see what you can do with the minimal resources. The year 2023 is coming to an end. See who you need to seek forgiveness from. Confess your mistakes and forgive others with an open heart. Appreciate the good deeds and avoid repeating the mistakes.

To lead a successful and balanced life, it is essential that your mind is at peace. Then you have plans for the future, roadmaps or forward visions. Complete planning is present. Set your vision. Do short-term (two to three months), medium-term (eight to twelve months), and long-term (two to three years) planning. Set goals. Speak to yourself, pick up a notebook, and jot down your deadlines. See what you have achieved in two to three months. What do you need to do in the next six to twelve months, and then where do you see yourself in two to three years? Try to avoid negative people and negative thoughts. Avoid those who are pessimistic and demoralizing. Remember that you are God's deputy. Animals that fear the lion in the jungle, we humans lock it up in a cage.

Life is very short

; plan it. Keep an account of each day, week, month, and year. Remember! If you have spent this life with a regular plan in a balanced way, rest assured that your eternal life will also be good. Along with this, keep reminding yourself from time to time that while living and awake, you are a human, not a machine or a robot. Laugh, smile, express your feelings. If you get tired, take a little rest; there is no harm in that. Present yourself softly rather than barging into some matters. To gain happiness, it is not necessary that you are a millionaire or a billionaire. Remove obstacles from the way. If you see someone burdened with more than necessary, take two steps forward and share the burden with them. If you are on a vehicle, let pedestrians pass softly before you.

If you see someone sad, distressed, or in a broken state in the market, office, or on the road, stop for two minutes, find out their condition, and before leaving, comfort them by saying, "Don't worry, everything will be fine." If you are going home and have something special for food, don't be shy; whether a laborer working on the road, a lone security guard, an old newspaper seller, or a child cleaning the car glass, give them a little share. Be assured that these little joys are obtained without the need for a large amount of money or sacrifice. Many of us here in the diaspora happily practice this.

So, when are you starting this?

Hello, partner!

 Hello, partner!

Establishing a home
through marriage contributes positively to society and is emphasized in the traditions of various religions worldwide. It is seen as a way to build a family, fostering stability to avoid societal issues.

The relationship between husband and wife is enduring yet fragile, as it begins in different environments and with gender differences. While other relationships in life may continue smoothly, this relationship requires continuous effort, as it involves the commitment of both partners. Love, like a fine wine, takes time to mature, and compromise is essential—sacrifices are mutual and must come from the heart.

Respect is paramount in this relationship.
Respecting each other's opinions and valuing each other's dignity is crucial. Starting the journey of marriage with mutual respect lays the foundation for a successful partnership. In marriage, there is no ideal perfection as we are all human, and the reality of life differs from our dreams. While finding an ideal partner may be challenging, appreciating the positive aspects of your spouse is crucial. If someone claims that love is everything and money doesn't matter, they might be naive, as poverty often brings unwanted difficulties. Therefore, it is essential to have at least basic financial needs met.

A good listener is also necessary in a spouse, paying attention to small details. Because who listens attentively matters, and it matters in their life together. So, having a good listener is a great gift.

A good life partner accepts you for who you are, whether innocent, witty, mischievous, clever, talkative, or silent. They don't attempt to change you. However, if you have a bad habit, they make an effort to explain and avoid public confrontation. Remember that accepting and appreciating are different. An ideal husband or wife accepts you; they don't just tolerate.

Good spouses give importance
to each other's opinions and make decisions based on mutual consultation. They spend quality time together, not mixing professional and personal life but managing household and children's responsibilities together. Ideal partners think about each other's likes and dislikes, making an effort to ensure their words don't hurt. They make life's journey easier, face every difficulty together, and make their relationship pleasant in every aspect.

Life is not perfect for an ideal husband or wife. Patience and acceptance make a difference, as life is a journey with ups and downs. A supportive partner in this artificial world is indeed a blessing. In a world where imperfections are inevitable, if you have found a partner with even a few good qualities, thank the Almighty. Life is never complete; there is always some deficiency, and understanding this is the limit of humanity.

"Immediately stop feeding

honey to breastfeeding infants. Parents who have been giving honey to children under one year old should cease this practice immediately because it can pose a risk of various illnesses.

Honey naturally contains a bacteria called Clostridium, which can cause infant botulism in children under one year old. This disease is known as infant botulism.

Symptoms of this disease may include muscle weakness, difficulty in drinking milk, weakness in crying, difficulty in movement, and constipation.

Parents are advised not to give any honey or honey-containing processed foods to their children until after their first birthday. This can help prevent botulism in breastfeeding infants. Although botulism-causing bacteria can potentially be present in corn starch-based syrups, it has not been conclusively proven. Nevertheless, it is advisable to consult with a doctor before giving such syrup to any child."

 The phrase Christmas tree stars

The text you provided appears to be a passage in Urdu describing an astronomical observation related to Christmas. Here is the translation in English:

"Washington: Hundreds of light-years away, a cluster of stars has been observed, shaped exactly like a Christmas tree. According to American media, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, NASA has released an image of the green-colored 'young' stars' cluster NGC 2264, also known as the Christmas Tree Cluster. According to media reports, this cluster of stars, resembling a Christmas tree, is at a distance of 2500 light-years. The image of the star cluster was taken by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory. In this 'Christmas tree,' some stars are only one-tenth the size of our Sun, while others are many times larger. NASA stated that many stars in this cluster are only 1 to 5 million years old, making them 'lion-hearted' compared to other stars that can live for billions of years."

According to the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism, this incident occurred in the U.S. state of Arkansas, where an American citizen, Evan Zsuzs, went for a walk in the park with his girlfriend. While strolling, he came across a transparent and sparkling piece, which he initially thought was a piece of glass, and picked it up.

Media reports state that after keeping the piece of glass for a few weeks, Zsuzs became curious about it. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the piece he found was, in fact, a 4.87-carat genuine diamond. Zsuzs and his son shared this discovery with the park authorities.

In response to numerous emails received from citizens about finding something sparkling in the park, the park authorities initiated an inquiry. The investigation confirmed that it was indeed a genuine 4.87-carat diamond.

The park authorities expressed their delight that Zsuzs had returned the valuable diamond and commended his honesty."

The Surprising Impact of Human Tears

The Surprising Impact of Human Tears

Anger, pain, helplessness, happiness, and sorrow evoke tears in the eyes of most individuals. Now, scientists have revealed a fascinating effect of human tears. The sight of tears reduces aggression or anger in other individuals, as per a recent study published in the journal PLOS Biology. The research suggests that women's tears can reduce aggression or anger in men by up to 40%.
In fact, when men see women's tears, changes occur in their brains, and scientists believe that a similar effect occurs in individuals when witnessing tears, regardless of gender. Researchers pointed out that the discovery of a reduction in anger or aggression due to tears was surprising. In a previous study by the same team of scientists, it was found that women's tears decrease the levels of hormones associated with increasing aggression in men. However, until now, the impact of tears on reducing aggression had not been observed in real-life situations.
For this new study, six women were shown emotional films, and the tears shed were collected. Subsequently, 31 men were included in the research. Some were exposed to a saline mixture, while others were exposed to the scent of women's tears. Afterward, these men were instructed to play a computer game known to increase aggressive behavior. The results showed that men who smelled women's tears experienced a 43.7% reduction in aggressive behavior while playing the game.
Following this, brain scans of the men revealed that the areas of the brain associated with emotion and aggression became less active, while the activities of brain cells associated with increasing aggression decreased. According to researchers, the chemical impact of tears was astonishing, and it is not yet clear why this occurs. They suggested that the reduction in aggressive behavior, triggered by tears, may have evolutionary benefits in providing protection for vulnerable children.
Researchers noted that tears' chemical effects do not seem to have specific effects on the social relationships of adults with reduced aggressive behavior. However, it appears that the impact of tears is evolutionary, serving to protect vulnerable children. They further stated that individuals who resort to anger and aggression by speaking cannot be easily stopped; they are, in fact, helpless. In such situations, tears from these individuals reduce the anger or aggression of adults.

"The secret tricks of YouTube that very few people know."

YouTube is one of the most popular websites in the world, with a monthly user count exceeding 2 billion. This video-sharing platform is now more commonly used on mobile phones than on computers. However, when watching videos on the YouTube app on an Android smartphone, you cannot perform other tasks once you exit the app because the video stops playing.

If you are using the YouTube Premium service, the video will continue to play in picture-in-picture mode even after you exit the app. However, with a simple trick on YouTube, you can listen to YouTube Music videos in the background on your smartphone without a Premium account. This allows you to use other apps while still enjoying YouTube Music videos, just like YouTube videos continue to play in the background on a desktop.

Here's how to use the trick:

Open the YouTube app on your phone and play your preferred video.

Under the options available below the video, click on the Share button and select the Copy Link option.

Then, open Google Chrome on your phone and paste the copied link.

Once the video is open, go to the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the browser and select "Request Desktop Site."

By doing this, the mobile web interface will resemble a computer, allowing you to minimize Chrome and go to your phone's home screen while the video pauses. However, you can play it again by going to the notification menu on your phone.

AI technology has, for the first time, defeated humans in a physical ability game.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has previously defeated humans in various board games such as chess. Humans losing in board games is not surprising because AI technology has proven its skills in specific tasks, especially in tasks that involve detailed analysis.

But now, for the first time, a robot based on AI technology has defeated humans in the field of physical abilities.A robot developed at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, called AI Runner, has beaten humans in a game called Labyrinth. In this game, the challenge is to move a marble from one end to the other using two knobs. This task is very challenging and requires not only brainpower but also physical abilities. However, the AI Runner robot played this game like a real person.

The robot, equipped with 2 motors (its hands), a camera (its eyes), and a computer (its brain), plays this game just like a human.Similar to humans, the robot first learned to play the game and then used AI technology to make decisions. The robot observes the game, remembers the experience of playing, and uses its algorithm to complete the game.

After receiving 6.06 hours of training, the robot broke the globally established record set by the player Lars Göran Danielsson in 2022.Lars Göran Danielsson completed the game in 15.41 seconds, while the robot completed it in 14.48 seconds.During the learning process, the robot discovered shortcuts and used them, just like a human, to secure its victory.

A research paper on this robot has been published on a website, and researchers are now working on making this project open source.

Interesting facts about the shortest day and longest night of the year

The shortest day and the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere occur today. Is today the shortest day and the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere? The shortest day of the year is called the Winter Solstice. In the past six months, from June 22, there was a decrease in the duration of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere, but now the situation will reverse, meaning the duration of daylight will gradually increase.

The Winter Solstice is considered the first day of winter, and it is the shortest day of the year, occurring on December 21 in some countries and December 22 in others, including Pakistan. The event is associated with the beginning of the winter season.

Behind the Science of the Winter Solstice:

This event happens when the Sun is at its southernmost point, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn. In the Southern Hemisphere, the situation is reversed, and December 21 or 22 will be the longest day of the year.Countries in this region include Argentina, New Zealand, and South Africa, where only about 10% of the world's population resides. In the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest day of the year occurs between December 20 and 24, but December 21 or 22 are more common historical dates.

To find out which country experiences the shortest day on December 21 or 22, various websites such as Time and Date can be consulted.

Where is the Shortest Day Actually Experienced?

At this time, in the North Pole, the sunlight dramatically decreases, and almost 24 hours of darkness prevail. In contrast, 85 miles north of the equator in Singapore, residents do not feel a significant difference because there is only a 9-minute reduction in sunlight during December compared to June. This means there is approximately a 12-hour day throughout the year.

In Paris, there is an 8 hours and 14 minutes long day, and a roughly 16-hour long night. In the city of Oslo, Norway, the sun rises at 9 AM and sets at 3 PM, which is less than 6 hours of daylight.

In Nome, Alaska, the sunlight is visible for only 3 hours and 54 minutes, followed by a 20-hour long night.

In comparison, Islamabad experiences sunrise at 7 AM and sunset at 5 PM, resulting in a day lasting 9 hours and 55 minutes.

Lahore has a duration of 10 hours and 1 minute, while Karachi experiences a day lasting 10 hours and 35 minutes during this period.

Why Does This Happen?

As the Earth revolves around the Sun, the Winter Solstice occurs when the Sun tilts toward the Southern Hemisphere and away from the Northern Hemisphere. This marks the beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

This tilt causes a reduction in the duration of daylight, which reverses during the summer season.

In the Northern Hemisphere's latitudes, the time of sunrise will remain the same for the next three days, but the time of sunset will change.
